ETHIOPIA invites Susan Tatah to Adwa pan -African University Conference
Adwa pan-African University International conference was total success. Hosted in the historic Adwa, Tigrai Regional State brought together more than 2000 delegates worldwide. Susan Tatah – CEO of GABS Germany was honored to be one amongst the special top ranking guest to witness and contribute to this historic move on the continent. The inaugural conference gathered prominent personalities like the former Ethiopian Premier Hailemariam Dessalegn, the Deputy Chairperson of the AUC- Thomas Kwesi Quartey, Deputy Chief Administrator of Tigray regional state- Dr Debretsion Gebremichael, State Minister Dr. Aklilu Hailemichael, Ambassadors and representatives from different Emissaries in Ethiopia, religious fathers and scores of other high ranking officials.
Former Premier Hailemariam said the battle of Adwa was a great success for Ethiopia and a sole contributor for Africa’s liberation. Dr Debretsion Gebremichael in his remarks noted “University will be a center of excellence for Africa’s history and pan-Africanism.”
Deputy Chairperson Thomas Kwesi Quartey, for his part indicated that the victory of Adwa inspired other African countries to struggle for independence and freedom. The two day-conference aimed at bringing together efforts of concerned individuals, organizations, and countries to realize the Adwa pan-African University’s vision.
